Postdoctoral Fellow – Plant-Microbe Interaction: The lab of Prof. Bram Van de Poel at KU Leuven is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to investigate the role of ACC (1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid) in plant-microbe interactions from an evolutionary perspective. This interdisciplinary research opportunity involves collaboration with Prof. Barbara De Coninck and Dr. Francisco Nascimento to elucidate the evolutionary dynamics of ACC signaling and its impact on plant-microbe interactions.
Postdoctoral Fellow – Evolution of ACC and Plant-Microbe Interaction
Designation: Postdoctoral Fellow
Research Area: Plant-Microbe Interaction and Evolutionary Biology

- PhD in plant-microbe interaction or plant molecular biology
- Experience working with microorganisms and their interaction with plants
- Interest in evolutionary biology and molecular plant biology
- Track record of scientific excellence and ambition
- Proficiency in English language
- Strong teamwork and independent work skills
Job Description:
- Investigate the role of ACC in plant-microbe interactions using Marchantia polymorpha as an evolutionary model
- Conduct microbiome assembly studies and unravel the molecular mechanisms underlying ACC-mediated plant-microbe interactions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and supervisors to achieve project objectives
