Position 1: Redox-Active Materials

The successful candidate will work on the design, synthesis, and functionalization of redox-active materials for electrochemical energy-storage applications.

Preferred expertise:

Position 2: Membrane and Polymer Materials

The successful candidate will work on polymer and membrane materials for electrochemical energy-storage applications.

  • Polymer chemistry

  • Materials characterization
  • Ion-exchange membranes
  • Electrochemical membrane applications

Eligibility / Qualification

Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent research background relevant to the respective position and demonstrated research expertise in the required materials-chemistry, polymer, membrane, or electrochemical areas.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate relevant research experience through their CV and previous research work.

Job Description

The Postdoctoral Fellows will contribute to funded research projects involving the development of advanced materials for electrochemical energy storage. Depending on the position, responsibilities may include:

  • Designing and synthesizing redox-active materials.
  • Developing and functionalizing polymer and membrane materials.
  • Characterizing synthesized materials and evaluating their properties.
  • Investigating materials for electrochemical energy-storage applications.
  • Developing ion-exchange membranes and electrochemical membrane systems.
  • Collaborating with researchers from complementary disciplines.
  • Participating in AI-enabled materials discovery initiatives.
  • Preparing research publications and presenting research findings.
