Postdoctoral Fellow – Renal Diseases: The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a highly qualified Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension. This position offers an exciting opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in the field of Autosomal Dominant Polycystic Kidney Disease (ADPKD) pathomechanisms, focusing on immunology and metabolism. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Dr. Katharina Hopp and contribute to preclinical studies, cellular and molecular analyses, and hypothesis-driven research. Eligibility/Qualification:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Ph.D. and/or M.D./Ph.D.
- Minimum of 4 years of research experience, including the degree years.
- Experience with mouse colony maintenance, mouse dissection, and/or preclinical trial execution.
- Proficiency in basic cellular and molecular techniques, such as Western blotting, PCR/qPCR, IHC/IF, and statistical analyses using Microsoft Excel/PRISM/JMP.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently within a research lab.
Job Description: The Postdoctoral Fellow will join the Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension and work in Dr. Katharina Hopp’s laboratory. The focus of the research will be on studying Autosomal Dominant PKD (ADPKD) pathomechanisms, specifically investigating the role of immunology and metabolism in disease progression. Key responsibilities include utilizing PKD mouse models, performing flow cytometry and multispectral imaging, establishing in vitro/ex vivo culture systems, conducting cellular and molecular techniques, developing and leading hypothesis-driven research, and contributing to manuscript and grant writing. The position also involves assisting with training junior staff and daily lab duties.
