Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related area
  • Demonstrated capacity to produce high-quality research
  • Strong scientific writing and communication skills
  • Proficiency in programming with statistical languages (R, Python)
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

Job Description: As a Postdoctoral Fellow in Dr. Jin’s group, you will:

  • Lead both independent and collaborative research projects in statistical genetics/genomics, causal inference, predictive modeling, and health equity
  • Focus on data integration methods, equitable disease risk prediction, Mendelian randomization analysis, transcriptome-wide association studies, and scalable Bayesian modeling
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams at the University of Pennsylvania and Johns Hopkins University
  • Lead or co-lead publications in high-impact scientific and statistical journals
  • Have the opportunity to apply for NIH grants, such as the NIH Pathway to Independence Award (K99/R00)
  • Contribute to advancements in aging research, mental disorders, Alzheimer’s disease, and kidney diseases
