Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD (or equivalent) in a biological or physical science.
- Demonstrable experience in X-ray crystallography and protein biochemistry.
- Experience in cryo-EM specimen preparation and data processing is an advantage.
- Skills in molecular biology, protein expression, and purification are desirable.
- Candidates nearing completion of their PhD may apply, but confirmation of award is required within six months of employment.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be involved in the structure determination of protein-ligand complexes, primarily utilizing X-ray crystallography, and potentially cryo-electron microscopy (cryoEM). Responsibilities include:
- Protein production and purification.
- Protein crystallization and structure determination.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary project team.
- Accessing advanced facilities for protein production, purification, and characterization.
As part of the hit discovery and structural design team, you will engage in high-throughput screening and fragment-based hit discovery, combined with advanced structural biology techniques.
