Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. in data science, statistics, or physical/biological sciences preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience.
- Postdoctoral Researchers should be within 5 years of receiving their Ph.D.
Job Description:
As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will:
- Design and execute workflows to spatialize CO2 and CH4 fluxes and concentrations for over 100 sites from NEON and AmeriFlux.
- Play a pivotal role in analyzing spatial and temporal carbon patterns in ecosystems, landscapes, and global processes.
- Conduct innovative research over a 2- to 3-year period, with annual evaluations for reappointment.
- Have access to core facilities at the Yale School of the Environment, reside locally, and maintain a regular workspace on campus.
- Focus on groundbreaking research with valuable career mentorship.
Valued Skills:
- Expertise in eddy covariance, atmospheric modeling, geospatial data processing, and upscaling flux data.
- Efficient handling of large datasets, designing data products, and community resources.
- Expertise in macrosystem ecology, machine learning, data assimilation, and synthesis science.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting salary expected to range between 68-78k based on experience.
- Standard annual raise of 2.5% for associates.
