- Experience with CRISPR technology

- Interest in mentoring and supervising Masters and Ph.D. students
- Basic skills in R and Python are a plus
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will engage in innovative CRISPR method development aimed at understanding DNA repair mechanisms and enhancing the performance of CRISPR edits. Specific responsibilities include:
- Investigating the potential of “Neandertalizing” human stem cells through CRISPR technology
- Conducting comparative analyses between modified human cells and Neanderthal cells
- Collaborating with bioinformaticians and population geneticists
- Mentoring students and contributing to the academic environment of the institute
This position is for an initial duration of two years, with potential for extension. The candidate will also have the opportunity to develop new skill sets in CRISPR screening, high throughput bacterial cloning, and CAR-T and hematopoietic stem cell engineering.
