Eligibility / Qualification

Essential Requirements

  • Strong interest in mitochondria, protein quality control (PQC), and related molecular mechanisms
  • Ability to work collaboratively and actively participate in scientific discussions
  • Solid expertise in genetic and molecular biology techniques
  • Experience with high-throughput screening approaches
  • Experience in large-scale data analysis from high-throughput methods

Meritorious (Desirable) Qualifications

  • Experience in mitochondrial biochemistry, protein biochemistry, and/or proteomics
  • Skills in protein biochemistry and proteomic data analysis
  • Prior experience using Saccharomyces cerevisiae as a research model

Job Description

  • Conduct unbiased genome-wide screens to identify novel mitochondrial protein quality control systems
  • Investigate the spatiotemporal interactions of mitochondrial proteins
  • Apply state-of-the-art genetic, biochemical, and proteomic techniques
  • Analyze and interpret large-scale datasets
  • Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and open research environment
  • Participate in mentoring, lab discussions, and dissemination of research findings
