Postdoctoral Fellowship in Research: The Mordes Lab at UCSF is inviting applications for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to conduct research on the mechanisms of neurodegeneration in dementia, movement disorders, and related diseases. The research involves using human stem cell-derived neurons and patient brain samples to develop new disease models, identify therapeutic targets, and study proteins associated with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), frontotemporal dementia (FTD), and Parkinson’s disease (PD). The position offers an opportunity to work on dynamic projects, including single-cell analyses, RNA-sequencing, global proteomics, and more.

Job Description: The postdoctoral fellow will be actively involved in research projects focused on neurodegenerative diseases, utilizing advanced techniques such as single-cell analyses of neurons, human pluripotent stem cells, RNA-sequencing, and global proteomics. The role includes preparing research results for formal presentations and publications. The Mordes Lab is part of the Institute for Neurodegenerative Diseases and the Weill Institute for Neurosciences.
