Eligibility/Qualification:
- Must hold a PhD or an equivalent doctoral degree in wireless communications, signal processing, or related topics.
- Candidates should have excellent proficiency in English, both orally and in writing.
- Doctoral degree awarded no more than five years before the application deadline is preferred, although candidates with earlier degrees may be considered under special circumstances, such as statutory leave of absence.
- Applicants who are very close to finishing their PhD are also encouraged to apply.
Job Description:
The selected candidate will conduct theoretical research into the fundamentals of how to infer geometrical information (such as position, speed, and Doppler effects) using radio signals between LEO satellites and ground terminals, utilizing concepts such as MIMO and RIS. Although primarily theoretical, the project may involve prototyping localization algorithms within LTU’s 6G lab, depending on the candidate’s interest and profile. The position is part of the SMART 6GSAT multidisciplinary research center, collaborating with esteemed institutions and organizations.
