Eligibility / Qualification
- PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, or a closely related field
- Preferred experience in one or more of the following:
- Induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) culture and differentiation
- Quantitative confocal microscopy
- Proteomics
- Molecular biology techniques (molecular cloning, ChIP-seq, DNA FISH, RNA FISH)
- Recombinant viral tools (lentivirus, retrovirus, adenovirus)
- Self-motivated, team-oriented individual with strong scientific rigor and communication skills
Job Description
The Postdoctoral Fellow will join the Aging + Cardiovascular Discovery Center and work closely within the Gan Lab to advance innovative research in cardiovascular biology. Responsibilities include:
- Designing, organizing, and executing complex research projects
- Developing and implementing new experimental methods
- Performing experimental testing, data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Preparing detailed scientific reports and manuscripts
- Mentoring graduate and undergraduate students
- Writing and contributing to grant proposals for external funding
- Presenting research findings at national and international scientific meetings
The lab is led by Peiheng Gan, and has published recent work in high-impact journals such as Developmental Cell, Science Advances, PNAS, and Cardiovascular Research. No teaching duties are required for this position.
