Postdoctoral- Gut Cell Atlas: Join our team at Earlham Institute as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Papatheodorou Research Group to contribute to the Gut Cell Atlas research programme focusing on normal and Crohn’s Disease.

Postdoctoral Research Scientist – Gut Cell Atlas

  • Designation: Postdoctoral Research Scientist
  • Research Area: Gut Cell Atlas – normal and Crohn’s Disease research programme
  • Location: Earlham Institute, Hinxton, Cambridge, with collaboration in Edinburgh
  • Eligibility/Qualification: PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, or related field. Experience with single-cell transcriptomics and spatial transcriptomics data preferred. Understanding of biological statistics required; experience with long-read sequencing is advantageous.
  • Job Description: The successful candidate will perform analyses of single-cell RNA-Seq data, develop tools to integrate transcriptomics with histology images, and conduct bioinformatic investigations on Crohn’s Disease pathogenesis. The role involves contributing to the research programme funded by The Helmsley Charitable Trust, working in a multi-disciplinary environment with collaborative partners in Edinburgh, and contributing to the analysis pipelines of the Institute’s core open workflows and computational tools.
