Eligibility / Qualification

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  1. A PhD (completed or near completion) in cell biology, genetics, neurobiology, molecular biology, biophysics, or a closely related field.
  2. Strong motivation for independent research and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  3. A record of peer-reviewed publications (published or under review).
  4. Experience with AI or machine learning applied to image analysis (light or electron microscopy) is highly desirable.
  5. Additional experience in cell biology, mouse models, or advanced microscopy techniques (light or super-resolution microscopy) is considered advantageous but not required.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and apply machine learning algorithms for high-throughput analysis of fluorescence and microscopy images.
  • Work with diverse model systems, including mammalian neurons, mice, human organoids, and C. elegans.
  • Conduct interdisciplinary research integrating cell biology, genetics, biochemistry, and computational approaches.
  • Utilize advanced imaging technologies including quantitative light microscopy, super-resolution microscopy, and correlated light-electron microscopy (CLEM).
  • Contribute to projects investigating mechanisms of neurodegeneration and potential therapeutic strategies.
  • Participate in collaborative research within a highly supportive and diverse laboratory environment.
