Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science, ideally with expertise in Electrochemistry.
- Proficiency in materials synthesis and analysis.
- Experience in polymer chemistry, especially templating techniques.
- Background in battery research.
- Experience in research project management.
- Must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of employment (Visa sponsorship not available).
Job Description
As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, you will:
- Lead innovative research at the interface of polymer chemistry, solid-state materials, and electrochemistry.
- Develop and optimize templating techniques for controlled structure formation and material design.
- Design, characterize, and optimize new electrolyte solutions.
- Test novel materials in batteries, including electrode fabrication, cell assembly, and cycling.
- Analyze and interpret experimental results to identify trends and guide design improvements.
- Manage ongoing partnerships with academic and industry collaborators.
- Coordinate administrative tasks including equipment maintenance and laboratory organization.
- Participate in the co-supervision of students and lead independent research initiatives.
