Postdoctoral in Collagen Secretion Studies, Institute Jacques Monod, France

Postdoc in France

Postdoctoral in Collagen Secretion Studies: The Institute Jacques Monod is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the “Intracellular Compartmentalization” team to investigate the mechanisms of collagen secretion and degradation in healthy and fibrotic cells. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research in cellular biology and extracellular matrix dynamics.

Title: Postdoctoral Research Position in Collagen Secretion Studies

Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher

Research Area: Cell Biology, Extracellular Matrix, Collagen Dynamics

Location: Paris 13, France

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Biology or a related field (must have obtained the degree before the contract start date).
  • Background in cellular biology, molecular biology, and advanced microscopy is preferred.
  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will engage in a project focused on the secretion of extracellular matrix proteins, particularly collagens. Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing experimental strategies.
  • Utilizing and developing new methodologies.
  • Conducting experiments involving mammalian cell culture, transfection, and advanced microscopy techniques.
  • Analyzing and communicating findings.
  • Writing research reports and scientific articles.

The study aims to explore intracellular mechanisms related to collagen sorting prior to secretion and degradation, with an emphasis on understanding how dysregulation may lead to tissue construction issues and pathologies such as tumors or fibrotic scars.

How to Apply:
Interested candidates should submit a comprehensive CV, a cover letter detailing their research interests and experience, and contact information for at least two academic references to the designated application portal [insert application link or email].

Last Date to Apply:
Monday, December 23, 2024, by 23:59:00 Paris time.

We look forward to your applications and to welcoming a new member to our innovative research team!
