Job Description
The project investigates how interfacial flows in evaporating droplets affect the behavior and distribution of E. coli bacteria, focusing on their active motion and collective behavior. The researcher will conduct experiments, develop theoretical/numerical models, and collaborate with international researchers from institutions like the University of Edinburgh and the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct experimental and theoretical research on bacterial behavior under capillary confinement.
- Explore active bacterial pattern formation within droplets.
- Collaborate across disciplines and contribute to educational activities in the department.
- Supervise BSc and MSc students on their research projects.
