Eligibility / Qualification

Applicants should possess:

  • A PhD in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Strong expertise in one or more of the following areas:
    • Hydrogen Embrittlement
    • Metallic Alloys
    • Materials Microstructure
    • Mechanics of Materials
    • Hydrogen–Material Interactions
  • Experience with experimental characterization and analysis of metallic materials is highly desirable.
  • Strong research, communication, and scientific writing skills.

Job Description

The selected Postdoctoral Researcher will:

  • Conduct advanced research on the interaction of gaseous hydrogen with metallic materials.
  • Investigate material performance and degradation mechanisms relevant to hydrogen infrastructure.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art hydrogen characterization and post-processing facilities.
  • Study and develop materials for hydrogen transport and storage applications, including pipeline steels, advanced steels, and lightweight metals.
  • Contribute to the design of safe and reliable metallic energy infrastructure.
  • Publish research findings in high-impact scientific journals and present results at international conferences.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary researchers working in clean energy and hydrogen technologies.
