Job Description

The Postdoctoral Research Scholar will be responsible for developing and implementing research projects that advance machine learning methods and tools for environmental data science. The scholar is expected to:

  • Collaborate with faculty and community partners to create application-driven ML systems.
  • Promote open, reproducible science and education objectives within ESIIL.
  • Share research findings through various science communication methods.
  • Interact collaboratively with other ESIIL postdocs and contribute to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the research community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative ML models and methods tailored to environmental data science.
  • Establish benchmark datasets for ML in environmental science.
  • Collaborate within the Computer Science Department and ESIIL community.
  • Publish datasets and codes that align with FAIR principles.
  • Participate in community engagement and promote diversity and inclusion.
