Eligibility/Qualification

  • A PhD/DPhil or near completion in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related discipline.
  • Substantial experience in basic molecular biology techniques, particularly recombinant DNA techniques.
  • Proficiency in expression and purification of recombinant proteins.
  • Experience in biochemical and biophysical characterisation methods.
  • Knowledge and skills in mammalian cell culture and associated cell-based techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, suitable for publication and presentation.

Job Description

The successful candidate will:

  • Investigate the mechanisms of Wnt pathway activation and termination at the plasma membrane.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art tools such as in vitro protein reconstitution, CRISPR approaches, and super-resolution microscopy.
  • Study the regulation and recruitment of cytoplasmic signal transduction proteins to Wnt receptor complexes.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within the lab, contributing to innovative research ideas and findings.
