Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD, MD, or MD/PhD in microbiology, bioinformatics, genomics, computational biology, or a closely related field.
  • Relevant experience in R/Python or equivalent programming languages.
  • Experienced in Linux/Unix environments and high-performance computing systems.
  • Familiarity with Biostatistics and/or statistical modeling.
  • Strong interest in microbiome research, mobile genetic elements, and antibiotic resistance.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Applicants must have obtained their degree no later than four months after the submission deadline and should not have worked more than four months as a postdoctoral researcher at Alliance institutions.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will:

  • Participate in a collaborative project analyzing and predicting the spread of antibiotic resistance.
  • Utilize programming skills in R/Python to develop computational models.
  • Engage in high-performance computing environments and contribute to biostatistical analyses.
  • Produce at least one first-author publication in a relevant field.
