VISTA Postdoctoral Fellowship in York University, Canada

Postdoctoral in Molecular Biology of Trypanosomatids: The Department of Biology at the University of York is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) to join Dr. Joana Faria’s research group. The successful candidate will investigate the mechanisms underlying gene expression control in trypanosomatids, a group of parasitic protozoans that cause devastating diseases such as African trypanosomiasis, leishmaniasis, and Chagas’ disease.

Postdoctoral Research Associate in Molecular Biology of Trypanosomatids

Designation

Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA)

Research Area

  • Molecular biology and cell biology of trypanosomatid parasites
  • Regulation of biomolecular condensates, genome organization, nuclear architecture, and gene expression
  • Host immune evasion mechanisms in African trypanosome Trypanosoma brucei
