Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD/DPhil (or near completion) in Physics, Biophysics, Physical Chemistry, Nanoscience, Bioengineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong background in quantitative fluorescence microscopy or spectroscopy.
  • Experience in single-molecule or membrane biophysics techniques.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and characterizing engineered substrates or nanoscale devices.

Job Description

As a Postdoctoral Research Assistant, you will:

  • Contribute to the ERC-funded project MIETEN by developing and applying quantitative fluorescence microscopy and spectroscopy methods.
  • Investigate how molecular and membrane electrostatics affect immune-cell signaling and cell interactions.
  • Utilize advanced laboratory equipment including fluorescence microscopy and spectroscopy platforms.
  • Design and independently manage academic research activities while contributing to publications and conference presentations.
