Eligibility/Qualifications:
- Anticipated start of postdoctoral appointment within 12 months.
- Must not hold a postdoctoral appointment at UCalgary at the time of application.
- Candidates should hold their doctorate from an institution other than the University of Calgary.
- Completion of all requirements for the doctorate must have occurred no more than 3 years before the application deadline (5 years for MD and VET Med holders).
- Must not have held a postdoctoral appointment at the University of Calgary previously.
- Applications from individuals with offers that start after the deadline are eligible.
Job Description:
The Postdoctoral Match-Funding Program provides a total funding support of $50,000 per year, split between the University of Calgary ($25,000) and the faculty supervisor ($25,000), including employer-paid benefits. Award holders are expected to pursue external fellowship awards identified in their proposed research plan. The program seeks to attract new postdoctoral associates competitive for external fellowship awards based on their scholarly contributions, research leadership, and innovation.
