Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD/DPhil (or near completion) in organic or medicinal chemistry or a related discipline
- Demonstrable experience in small molecule synthesis and characterization
- Ability to manage academic research and administrative activities
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with chemistry drawing packages such as Word and Excel
- Experience with small molecule inhibitors is desirable
Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Design and synthesize small molecules using structure-activity relationships and protein-ligand co-crystal structures.
- Analyze spectroscopic and screening data related to synthesis and biological activity.
- Contribute to project planning, including ideas for new research projects and generating research income.
- Collaborate in preparing scientific reports and journal articles.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external scientific networks.
- Provide regular updates on scientific data and act as a source of information and advice to team members.
