Postdoctoral Position at Max Planck Institute: The Max Planck Institute of Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg, Germany is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral position in the lab of Dr. AlHaj Abed. This position offers the opportunity to conduct fundamental research in the areas of Immunobiology and Epigenetics in a dynamic international research environment.

Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/div)

Research Area: The AlHaj Abed lab is focused on understanding the epigenetic events contributing to gene regulation and parental genome organization during development.

Location: Freiburg, Germany

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Academic degree in life science
  • PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in any area of Biology
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Good publication record
  • Proficiency in English language

Job Description:
As a Postdoctoral researcher, the successful candidate will:

  • Carry out experiments and analysis required for the completion of the project
  • Perform ChIP-seq analysis, RNA seq analysis
  • Work with mammalian in cell culture
  • Conduct CRISPR knock-ins and knock-outs
  • Engage in imaging and image analysis
  • Participate in experimental design and execution of experiments
  • Program in R and/or python

We are looking for candidates with experience in:

  • Mammalian in cell culture
  • Cloning and CRISPR knock-ins and knock-outs
  • R programming language or python
  • ChIP-seq analysis, RNA seq analysis
  • Expertise in image analysis
