Postdoctoral Position at University of Strasbourg: A postdoctoral position, supported by Idex Attractivité France 2023, is available at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Strasbourg, in the “Chemistry of Photoresponsive Systems” group (CNRS UMR 7199). The research focuses on Fluorescence, Organic Chemistry, Chemical Biology, and Bioimaging.
Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher
Research Area: Organic Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Bioimaging
Location: Faculty of Pharmacy, 74, route du Rhin, 67400 Illkirch, France
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Highly motivated candidate with strong experience in multistep synthesis and analysis (NMR, mass spectrometry).
- Experience in fluorescence, photochemistry, photophysics, or bioimaging is advantageous but not required.
- Candidates must have defended their thesis within the last two years.
- Multidisciplinary training and publication opportunities will be provided.
Job Description:
The project titled “DirEctEd Photooxidation (DEEP), a Universal Approach to Develop Fluorescent Phototransformable Materials,” aims to demonstrate the universality of the DEEP mechanism across various fluorophores and materials. The candidate will synthesize several photomodulable fluorescent probes to deepen the understanding of the mechanism through structure/properties relationship studies, ultimately leading to high-performance photomodulable systems for advanced bioimaging.
