Research Area:
The position involves interfacing biological systems, such as living cells and biomolecules, with CMOS bioelectronics through novel sensing and actuation technologies. Candidates will work on integrating biological protocols with advanced micro/nano-electronic platforms.
Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD degree or equivalent in cell biology, molecular biology, neuroscience, chemistry, electrochemistry, bioengineering, biomedical engineering, or closely related disciplines.
- Experience in long-term cell culture; particularly with neuronal cultures.
- Strong experimental background in molecular chemistry, electrochemistry, or related chemical systems.
- Familiarity with bioelectronic platforms, microelectrode arrays, or Organ-on-Chip systems is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written).
Job Description:
- Develop and maintain cellular assays on CMOS IC chips, focusing on long-term cultures of different cell types.
- Design and execute molecular and electrochemical experiments using CMOS micro-/nano-electrode arrays.
- Implement chemical workflows on CMOS IC chips, including electrochemical reactions and molecular synthesis.
- Characterize biological and molecular systems using microscopy, fluorescence assays, and electrochemical measurements.
- Collaborate with researchers in electronics to support experimental design and platform operations.
- Teach and mentor graduate-level students in โCMOS Electronics for Biological and Molecular Sensing.โ
- Present research findings at internal meetings and international conferences and prepare publications for peer-reviewed journals.
