Postdoctoral Position – FET Modelling: The University of Bordeaux (UB), in collaboration with CNRS and Bordeaux INP through the IMS laboratory, invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher position. This position is part of the European research project SENSOTERIC, focusing on modelling silicon-based reconfigurable transistors (RFETs) for advanced sensor and analog front-end applications. The postdoc will contribute to compact model development, device simulations, and interdisciplinary collaborations, with applications in cancer detection and frequency doublers.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related fields.
  • Strong interest and expertise in device physics and modelling.
  • Proficiency in English communication and writing.
  • Ability to work effectively in an international and interdisciplinary team.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with compact SPICE modelling or TCAD simulations.

Job Description

The selected candidate will:

  1. Perform physical device modelling of Schottky-barrier field-effect transistors.
  2. Co-develop compact SPICE-compatible models in Verilog-A for ambipolar SBFETs and NDR-FETs.
  3. Contribute to reports and deliverables for the European Commission.
  4. Assist in the supervision of a PhD student working in the same domain.
  5. Collaborate with international partners including NAMLAB and TU Wien.
