Eligibility / Qualification

The successful candidate must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field, with strong knowledge of molecular biology
    OR
  • Ph.D. in Molecular Biology or related field plus at least 2 years of postdoctoral experience in bioinformatics research and programming, documented by scientific publications

Essential Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in analysis of sequence and gene expression data
  • Excellent programming skills (Python required; Matlab and R as additional merits)
  • Experience with AI / machine learning methods
  • Strong UNIX/Linux skills
  • Solid understanding of molecular biology concepts

Job Description

The postdoctoral researcher will:

  • Develop and apply AI-based deep learning frameworks for GRN inference
  • Design specialized neural network architectures to integrate gene perturbation data
  • Develop systems to infer perturbation designs from gene expression and chromatin accessibility data
  • Enable region-specific GRN inference from spatial multi-omics data
  • Apply developed methods to spatial liver cancer datasets
  • Perform programming, data analysis, benchmarking, and computational modeling
  • Contribute to understanding cancer dysregulation and potential therapeutic strategies
