Eligibility / Qualification

Essential:

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with catalytic processes
  • Experience in lab-scale miniplant construction, including reactor design and downstream processing
  • Strong teamwork, communication skills, and passion for scientific research
  • Good command of written and spoken English

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, DWSIM)
  • Knowledge of 3D printing and rapid prototyping techniques
  • Growth mindset and leadership potential

Job Description

As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will:

  • Develop novel chemical processes for direct hydrogen production from sunlight and water
  • Design innovative low-cost photoreactors (e.g., baggie photoreactors) with advanced downstream processing
  • Integrate photocatalyst development with process design guided by techno-economic and sustainability assessment
  • Lead the process development research thrust within the group, gaining leadership experience
  • Collaborate with international experts and utilize excellent research infrastructure
