Eligibility / Qualification
Essential:
- PhD in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field
- Experience with catalytic processes
- Experience in lab-scale miniplant construction, including reactor design and downstream processing
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and passion for scientific research
- Good command of written and spoken English
Desirable:
- Familiarity with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, DWSIM)
- Knowledge of 3D printing and rapid prototyping techniques
- Growth mindset and leadership potential
Job Description
As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will:
- Develop novel chemical processes for direct hydrogen production from sunlight and water
- Design innovative low-cost photoreactors (e.g., baggie photoreactors) with advanced downstream processing
- Integrate photocatalyst development with process design guided by techno-economic and sustainability assessment
- Lead the process development research thrust within the group, gaining leadership experience
- Collaborate with international experts and utilize excellent research infrastructure
