Postdoctoral Position in Agricultural: Mississippi State University is seeking applications for a postdoctoral position in Agricultural & Biological Engineering to work on a USDA funded research project. The successful candidate will support a team of scientists in developing methodologies and establishing data analysis pipelines for the utilization of low altitude remote sensing platforms such as uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) and hyperspectral imaging (HS!) for estimation of crop canopy nutrients.

The postdoctoral associate will be responsible for:
- Supporting interdisciplinary teams to develop study questions to address the high throughput early diagnosis of nutrient deficiencies in row crops using UAV hyperspectral imaging
- Developing methodologies and establishing data analysis pipelines to meet the needs of research in collaboration with USDA Agricultural Research Services (ARS) scientists
- Participating in oral and written communications, as needed, to interface with the participating scientists and stakeholders to obtain clarity in requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Duration: 1 year with the possibility of extension up to 5 years contingent upon satisfactory performance.
