Eligibility/Qualification
- A PhD or an international degree deemed equivalent within the relevant subject area.
- Preference will be given to candidates who obtained their doctoral degree no more than three years before the application deadline. Earlier completion may be considered under special circumstances.
- Very good proficiency in English (oral and written).
- A strong ability to collaborate effectively.
- Motivated, proactive, capable of independent work as well as teamwork.
- Demonstrated persistence in research endeavors.
Job Description
The successful candidate will primarily focus on conducting research in the following areas:
- Development of machine learning models for microbe detection.
- Integration of morphological image data, biochemical signatures from Raman spectroscopy, and time-dependent signals using graph-based representations.
- Capture structural relationships through segmentation models adapted for microbial morphology and advanced statistical methods for high-dimensional data.
- The role may also involve teaching responsibilities not exceeding one-fifth of working time.
- Opportunities for university pedagogical training will be available.
