Eligibility/Qualification

Required Qualifications:

  • A PhD in a relevant field.
  • An established track record in big data analytics, specifically within or closely related to the substance use field.
  • Capacity to conduct advanced quantitative analyses.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate analyses, including writing analytical plans and outputs in English for high-impact international journals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a nationally and internationally strong research team.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Experience with large-scale RCT data analysis.
  • Interest in interdisciplinary research.

Job Description

The Postdoctoral Researcher will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing and publishing on big data derived from a large Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) investigating out-of-the-box brain-based interventions for adolescents involved in alcohol use.
  • Examining risk and protective factors for substance use and related behaviors across various large adolescent datasets.
  • Collaborating closely with Professor Kristine Rømer Thomsen, Professor Sarah W. Feldstein Ewing, and other prominent researchers in the field.
  • Contributing to the vibrant research environment at the Centre for Alcohol and Drug Research.
  • Preparing relevant analytics plans and writing up research findings for publication in high-impact international journals.

The position is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for two years.
