Postdoctoral Position in Biomedical Engineering: Uppsala University is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher for a two-year, full-time temporary position within the Division of Biomedical Engineering at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Doctoral degree in materials science, biomedical engineering, tissue engineering, immunoengineering, microsystem/applied biotechnologies, or a related field.
  • Experience in microphysiological system development or biosensor fabrication.
  • Excellent oral and written English skills, with a strong record of scientific publications.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be instrumental in establishing laboratory infrastructure and experimental tools, focusing on developing miniaturized tumor environment models. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading investigations of structural and biophysical properties of miniaturized tumor models.
  • Collaborating with the principal investigator and other team members.
  • Supervising doctoral and master’s students.
  • Communicating research results through publications and presentations.
