Eligibility/Qualification
  • PhD in Physics, Physical Chemistry, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical mechanics.
  • Proficiency in English communication.
  • Experience with all-atom or coarse-grained molecular simulations.
  • Comfortable with programming and the Linux programming environment.
  • Background in Physics, Physical Chemistry, and Engineering is desirable.
  • Prior experience in empirical methods like docking or structural bioinformatics is not encouraged.

Job Description:

Postdoctoral Position in Biomolecular Simulations of Membranes and Membrane Proteins

The postdoctoral researcher will play a pivotal role in advancing research in biomolecular simulations of membranes and membrane proteins. Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing molecular simulations and developing new techniques for studying transmembrane proteins, with a focus on ion transport.
  • Collaborating with theorists and experimental scientists in a highly cooperative environment.
  • Shaping and contributing to the research project to a significant degree.
  • Utilizing state-of-the-art supercomputing resources in Denmark and Europe.
