Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in Biological Sciences (obtained no more than 1-2 years ago).
- Strong expertise in molecular and cellular microbiology and genetics.
- At least one published first author article.
- Fluency in English (minimum level C1).
- Good knowledge in bioinformatics/programming (R, Python, and/or Matlab) is a plus.
- Highly motivated with a curiosity for fundamental research, demonstrating logical and rigorous thinking.
Job Description
The Collier lab is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to investigate DNA replication control in Alphaproteobacteria, with a focus on complex genome structures such as multiple chromosomes and megaplasmids. The candidate will primarily engage in personal research (80% of the time) and will also participate in shared research activities and contribute to teaching (20%). Key areas of study include epigenetics and transcriptional/post-transcriptional regulation mechanisms related to genome maintenance.
