Job Description

The position involves working at the intersection of mechanobiology, nanotechnology, systems biology, and quantitative biology, focusing on:

  • Quantitative mechanotyping of single cells, tissues, and multicellular systems (e.g., organoids, spheroids).
  • Development and application of nanotechnological platforms for force sensing and mechanical phenotyping.
  • Utilizing advanced cell biological techniques including live-cell imaging and super-resolution microscopy.
  • Integrating mechanical phenotypes with molecular, signaling, and transcriptional networks through systems biology approaches.
  • Engaging in quantitative modeling and data-driven analysis of multi-parameter cellular states.
  • Employing high-throughput and multi-scale approaches to link mechanical properties to functional cellular outcomes.

The position provides the freedom to shape experimental pipelines connecting physical measurements with systems-level biological insights in a collaborative environment at ETH Zürich.
