Postdoctoral Position in Data Analysis: The Department of Biology at the University of Copenhagen is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Position in Multivariate Data Analysis and Integration. This position is part of the Center of Excellence, Center for Volatile Interactions (VOLT). The initial appointment is for 4 years with a possibility for extension, starting on April 1, 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in a relevant field (e.g., bioinformatics, data science, chemometrics, or related to the analyses performed in VOLT).
  • Proficient in scripting (R, Python, or Matlab) for data processing and visualization.
  • Experience in analyzing large datasets, preferably -omics datasets.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.

Job Description:

Postdoctoral Position in Multivariate Data Analysis and Integration

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop data analysis and integration tools related to VOC, genomic, transcriptomic, and other data collected at VOLT.
  • Lead research papers and collaborate with postdocs, PhD students, and MSc students at VOLT.
  • Participate in and lead bioinformatics pipelines, visualize data, and conduct data analyses using various methods.
  • Collaborate with the ecosystem modeling group at VOLT to link observational data to process-based models.
