Postdoctoral Position in DNA: The Department of Cell Biology & Epigenetics invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position in DNA Replication & Genome Stability at the Institute of Biophysics, Czech Academy of Sciences. This position, affiliated with Dr. Hana Polasek-Sedlackova’s laboratory, offers an opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary research, exploring the molecular mechanisms of DNA replication and genome stability.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD degree in Life Science (Biochemistry, Biomedicine, Molecular Biology, Protein Science, or similar)
  • Good record of peer-reviewed scientific publications
  • Hands-on experience in molecular cloning, cell culture work, and microscopy-based approaches
  • Analytical ability to design innovative scientific or technical solutions
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills

Job Description: As a postdoctoral fellow, you will be engaged in an ambitious and interdisciplinary research project focusing on the molecular mechanisms ensuring precise and timely regulated initiation of DNA replication. The role involves mastering quantitative cell biology approaches, including CRISPR-Cas9 mediated genome editing, high-resolution microscopy, and high-content imaging. You will also have the opportunity to develop your own ideas within the research program.
