Postdoctoral Position in Electrochemical Biosensors: The Department of Chemistry at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, invites applications for a postdoctoral position in electrochemical biosensors. This position is funded by NIH/NINIH and focuses on developing biosensors for detecting neuropeptides and neurotransmitters, including implantable and wearable biosensors. The research will be conducted in collaboration with the University of Tennessee – Health Science Center and Universidad Ana G. Méndez, Cupey Campus.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Ph.D. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field obtained within the last five (5) years.
- Significant experience in electrochemical biosensor development or electrochemistry.
- Demonstrated original contributions to the field.
- Strong research background and interest in electrochemical biosensors, preferably with applications in brain research.
Job Description:
- Develop biosensors for single-cell and brain slice measurements.
- Optimize biosensors for detecting very low concentrations using microelectrodes.
- Develop a calibration technique for novel biosensors for in vivo applications.
- Collaborate with supervisors, postdocs, graduate students, and external research partners.
- Contribute to achieving high spatial and temporal resolution biosensors for neuropeptide measurement.
