Postdoctoral Position in Fungal Genetics: The group of Dr. Amelia Barber at Friedrich Schiller University Jena is offering a postdoctoral position. The research focuses on human fungal pathogens, exploring genome biology, ecology, and antifungal resistance. The project investigates how environmental factors of fungal pathogens influence their virulence in humans. The research involves using high-throughput screening, molecular genetics, in vitro infection models, and NGS data analysis.
Postdoctoral Position in Fungal Genetics, Pathogenesis, and Ecology
Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher
Research Area: Fungal Genetics, Pathogenesis, and Ecology
Location: Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany
Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in biological sciences, bioinformatics, or related disciplines (applicants in final stages of their PhD are encouraged to apply)
- Laboratory experience with bacteria or fungi, or molecular biology
- Curiosity, motivation, enthusiasm, and attention to detail
Nice to have (but not required):
- Proficiency in R or Python for statistics and data analysis
