Postdoctoral Position in Gallego-Bartolome Lab: Join research group for a 2-year postdoctoral position in the field of chromatin remodeling and cell differentiation. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with expertise in bioinformatics analyses of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data. The position is based at the Gallego-Bartolomé Lab, located at the IBMCP in Valencia, Spain.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with bioinformatics analyses of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, and related) is a PLUS.
  • Strong motivation and ability to work independently on research projects.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

As a postdoctoral researcher in our lab, you will be involved in studying the establishment of the epigenome in plants and the recruitment of chromatin-associated complexes. We primarily focus on using the model plant Arabidopsis and employ various techniques including molecular biology, biochemistry, and Next-Generation Sequencing. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting research projects related to chromatin remodeling and cell differentiation.
  • Analyzing and interpreting Next-Generation Sequencing data (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, and related).
  • Collaborating with colleagues to contribute to a positive and productive research environment.
  • Writing scientific papers and presenting research findings at conferences.
