Postdoctoral Position in Genomics of Gene Expression (GGE) Lab – Valencia
Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher/Lab Manager
Research Area: Multi-omics, Long Reads Sequencing, Single-Cell Sequencing, Bioinformatics, Gene Expression Dynamics
Location: Valencia, Spain
Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Molecular Biology or a related discipline
- Experience in cell culture, DNA and RNA extraction, library preparation, and optimization
- Knowledge of handling animal experiments is advantageous
- Basic understanding of data analysis and bioinformatics preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and ability to work both independently and in a team
Job Description:
The successful candidate will:
- Establish and manage a wet-lab focused on multi-omics, long reads, and single-cell sequencing
- Optimize and set up sequencing protocols
- Generate sequencing datasets
- Participate in the quality control and analysis of data
- Engage in the development of bioinformatics tools and models to understand disease progression
- Collaborate with an international, multidisciplinary team of researchers
