Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD or MD/PhD in immunology, virology, microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related field
- Experience in mouse models of infection or cancer
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience in virology and/or immunology is desirable
Job Description:
The successful applicant will join a dynamic team focused on developing a gammaherpesvirus vaccine. Responsibilities will include working with animal models of disease to understand viral and host determinants of chronic infection and pathogenesis, conducting experiments such as isolation of antibodies and immune cells from various tissues, performing neutralization assays, utilizing high-resolution flow cytometry and microscopic imaging, and collaborating within and outside the Krug lab. The ultimate goal of the project is to translate research findings into human vaccine approaches.
