Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD (or equivalent, or evidence of near completion) in Physics, Chemistry, or related multidisciplinary fields.
- Expertise in nuclear magnetic resonance sequence design.
- Experience in designing and constructing experimental apparatus.
- Additional valued skills include:
- Python and Mathematica for data processing and numerical simulation.
- Working with hyperpolarized nuclear spin systems.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting experimental research on miniaturized optically pumped atomic magnetometers (OPMs) for ultra-low-field NMR and MRI.
- Focus on MRI of microfluidic platforms using radio-frequency OPMs.
- Hyperpolarization of carbon-13 molecular probes and their detection using OPMs.
- Building experimental apparatus for nuclear spin hyperpolarization, OPMs, and NMR/MRI.
- Collaborating with the research group and external partners on advanced atomic and nuclear sensor applications.
- Presenting research findings at group meetings, conferences, and through publications.
- Supporting the mentoring and supervision of junior researchers.
- Maintaining lab equipment and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
