Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in environmental or biological sciences
- Background in (eco)toxicology, cell biology, bioanalytics, molecular biology, or similar areas
- Strong communication skills in English
- Familiarity with leachate assessment, cell culture, bioassays, material development, and SSbD or similar frameworks desired
- Prior experience with science-policy dialogue and stakeholder interactions will be a plus
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing practical workflows for generating aquatic toxicity data for novel vitrimer flame retardant materials using alternative (non-animal) tests for aquatic toxicity. This involves working on lab-based experiments, collaborating with partner laboratories, and advancing the conceptual understanding of the SSbD framework. The role will also involve evaluating the test strategy, reflecting on interdisciplinary collaboration, and exploring innovation needs in the functional polymer sector.
