Postdoctoral Position in Microbial Evolutionary Genomics
The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to a project leveraging bacterial genome data through big data techniques in comparative genomics and phylogenomics. The focus is on understanding bacterial diversification, with an initial emphasis on Escherichia coli. The project aims to quantify barriers to gene flow within E. coli species and explore the evolutionary forces shaping multi-drug resistance E. coli clones. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence the project’s direction based on their profile and strengths, contributing to the advancement of microbial genome evolution models.
Conditions of the Postdoctoral Position:
- Start date: Ideally in the first half of 2024 (negotiable)
