Postdoctoral Position in Microbiology and Drug Discovery: The Pandemic-Stop-AI project led by the Yves Brun laboratory at the University of Montreal (UdeM) is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher. This multidisciplinary initiative focuses on antimicrobial drug discovery utilizing high-content data collection, AI analysis, and cutting-edge microbiology techniques. The research aims to combat the rise of Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and accelerate the development of novel antibacterial drugs.

Eligibility/Qualifications

Job Description

The postdoctoral researcher will:

  1. Develop, execute, and analyze high-content screens of chemical and genetic libraries.
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to generate and validate AI-driven drug predictions.
  3. Characterize the mechanism of action of identified antibacterial compounds.
  4. Contribute to high-impact publications and present findings at leading microbiology and drug discovery conferences.
  5. Gain hands-on experience with lab automation, high-content data collection, and AI-driven analysis.
