SPostdoctoral Position in Microglial Development: The Glial Cell Biology Lab is inviting applications for a postdoctoral researcher (R2, R3) position, funded by the IKUR Strategy of the Basque Government. The role involves investigating the impact of early microglial development on neurodegeneration using human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and brain organoids, in collaboration with the Alzheimer Association.

Eligibility/Qualification

  • Doctorate degree in neuroscience or a closely related field.
  • Previous experience in neurobiology, glial cells, and microglia is a valuable asset.
  • Experience with iPSCs and organoids is positively considered.

Job Description

The successful candidate will conduct research focusing on early microglial development and its implications for neurodegeneration. Candidates are also expected to apply for competitive funding opportunities, including but not limited to Juan de la Cierva, MCSA, HFSP, etc.
