Research Area
The study focuses on lactate production, regulation of glycolysis, and its implications in metabolic processes during normal and pathological conditions, particularly in adaptation to metabolic stress.
Eligibility/Qualification
- Doctoral degree in relevant field or foreign equivalent.
- PhD obtained no more than three years prior to the application deadline, with considerations for special grounds for those who obtained it earlier.
- Experience in molecular regulation of metabolism and techniques in molecular biology and biochemistry.
- Familiarity with methods measuring metabolic parameters and previous experience in microscopy, mass spectrometry, organoid culture, flow cytometry, and bioinformatics is beneficial.
- Prior experience studying neuron metabolism is a merit.
Job Description
The successful candidate will engage in:
- Investigating the role of lactate in systemic energy turnover.
